Welcoming in the name of the Prince of Peace!

First Lutheran has served the Bothell community since 1886 when several Norwegian families gathered in a barn to worship together. The original name of our congregation was Norwegian Danish Evangelical Lutheran Molde Congregation, of King County, Washington Territory. Since that time this congregation has valued the immigrant and the stranger in our midst making hospitality one of our core values. Many languages have been spoken in our worship space, originally Norwegian, Danish and Swedish, but more recently Mandarin, Spanish and French. We are dedicated to sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ that all are welcome at the table of life.

One of the ways this congregation has expressed this Good News is to adopt a statement of welcome that includes the LGBTQI+ community. We are a community made of imperfect people striving to share the perfect love of Christ.
